Governing Procedures

The John Locke Society is governed by three basic documents The Constitution, The Handbook, and A Brief Guide to Parliamentary Procedure. While the Traditions, Customs and Precedents of the Society are the ultimate governing authority for the John Locke Society, these three documents provide the written authority for the Society's procedures and operations as well as information on the unwritten Traditions, Customs and Precedents of the Society.

These documents, which are listed below, may either be viewed on screen or downloaded to your computer. In order to view them, however, you must have either Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP, Corel WordPerfect, or Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0 installed. To install Acrobat Reader 4.0, click here.
