Our Purpose
The purpose of the John Locke Society is to provide a collegial forum in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex for Conservative political debate and literary discussion; to provide a venue for fellow Conservatives to freely associate together; and to propagate the philosophy and writings of John Locke.
Description
The John Locke Society is a Conservative parliamentary debating society. The Society has a Spring Term and a Fall Term. The Spring Term has four Debate Caucuses, while the Fall Term has three Debate Caucuses, with an additional Debate Caucus held during the Summer as a bridge event between the two Terms. Each Term also has an Election and Induction Caucus—where the next Term's Chairman and Secretary are elected and new Members are inducted—and Social Events, including a Term Banquet. Debate Caucuses and other meetings of the Society are governed by the Society's Traditions, Customs, and Precedents. These practices have been developed over many decades by the Society and its antecedent organizations. Please visit Introduction for more information on the Society's Debate Caucuses.
